Here’s a great opportunity to show and sell your work at a fiber arts event that attracts hundreds of attendees! The Austin Fiber Artists will have a booth at the Austin Area Quilt Guild’s QuiltFest 2016. We are looking for lots of smaller pieces, preferably for immediate sale. Items may hang on booth walls or be placed on tables, with similar pieces held in reserve to replace those that sell.
At the show, the AFA booth team will arrange the items to create a varied and appealing display given the space limitations. This may mean that not all of your pieces will be on display at once. AFA will man the booth, collect the money, calculate and pay the sales taxes, and distribute the proceeds to the artists less AFA’s commission.
You may submit any number of one-of-a-kind artwork or multiples of types of handmade merchandise such as handbags, stuffed toys, scarves, pins, etc. Any type of fiber item is acceptable.
You are responsible for setting the before-tax sales price for your work.
You are responsible for delivering an inventory of the pieces you submit along with the items themselves.
You may submit as many salable items as you like with no entry fee; a commission of 20% will be taken if they sell.
You may submit only one non-salable item; a $10 entry fee is required.
Items will be reviewed by a selection committee to ensure they are appropriate for this event.
This show is open to Austin Fiber Artists only.
